The HomeMaster ENM-223-R1 three-phase energy meter gets its biggest firmware and WebConfig update since v0.1.0. v0.2.0 turns the module from a fixed meter into a configurable metering device — it scales to your current transformers, adapts to how your installation is wired, and exposes far more of what the metering IC measures.
Configure it to your current transformers
Set your CT directly in WebConfig as a primary-to-secondary ratio (for example 100 A : 50 mA) and choose the analog gain (PGA ×1 / ×2 / ×4) to match it. The meter then reports current and power on the primary side — the real amps and watts on your wires — for whatever CT you install. In v0.1.0 the sensor scaling was fixed; now it adapts to your installation.
Flexible wiring
New selectable 3P4W / 3P3W wiring modes and configurable phase mapping, so the module matches how your installation is actually wired rather than assuming a fixed layout.
Richer metering and power-quality view
WebConfig now surfaces much more of what the metering IC measures: U/I peaks, THD, neutral current, fundamental and harmonic power, and live power-quality events (voltage sag, over-voltage, phase loss, over-current, frequency, reverse phase sequence) — presented in two new sections, Peaks & Quality and Chip Events.
Energy in primary watt-hours
Energy is now accumulated and reported in primary watt-hours, with the CT ratio applied — real energy on your wires rather than raw sensor counts.
Smoother Modbus integration
The register map was reworked so the full telemetry set reads in a single request, with signed 32-bit currents on the primary side for full range — cleaner and faster for a PLC or SCADA master to poll.
Reworked WebConfig
The USB-C WebConfig tool is rebuilt and reorganised, with new Device Setup, Advanced settings, Peaks & Quality, Chip Events and Serial Log areas, plus Identify and energy-reset commands — all in a Chromium browser, no drivers.
Get it
v0.2.0 is available now for the ENM-223-R1. Flash the firmware, open the WebConfig over USB-C, and point your ESPHome / Modbus master at the updated package. The full register map and setup notes are in the module documentation.
